After a charter amendment changed the districting methodology used by the Sarasota County Commission from an “At-Large” to a “Single-Member” districting system effective with the 2020 elections, the County Commission retained KSA to determine whether the districts were within generally accepted districting criteria and (if not) to assist in preparing alternative maps for consideration. KSA retained the Bureau of Business and Economic Research at the University of Florida to assist in updating the 2010 Census data.
